On the afternoon of September 23rd,GDIP held the opening ceremony for 2019 international students. PresidentLuKunjian andvice-presidentLiaoJunjie attended.
PresidentLuKunjian delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, briefly introduced the school's development achievements in recent years and the overall situation ofinternational exchanges and cooperation. He sincerely hoped that all international students and Chinese students can learn from each other, live in harmony, strive for the realization of their life ideals, and contribute to the friendship between China and their countries. Vice-president Liao Junjie introduced the overview of international students' majors and encouraged them to study hard, practice diligently, develop themselves, contribute to the school, and be envoys of civilized communication.
Two students from School of Finance and Trade gave talks. Studentin International Trade Class 183Kamara Gibrilla sharedhis experience of learning and livingon campusover the past year,while student in International Trade Class 193,Okorie Emeka Shedrach, spoke on behalf of the new students and expressed that he will cherish the opportunity to study hard.
Year 2019 is the second year for our school to admit international students. A total of 29 international students are enrolled, 18 of whom are admitted bySchool ofFinance andTrade, 8 bySchool ofManagement, and 3 bySchool ofArt andDesign. The 18 international students from 7 countries in Asia and Africa will complete the 3-year program in International Economy and Trade as planned.
